This website captures ideas about selling and marketing technology in the context of breakthrough business change.
And the site is about how that activity is different from other kinds of marketing and sales.
Often, selling and marketing technology that enables change requires new technology. But this site is not only or even mostly about "new technology". Sometimes old technology can be used in better ways to enable better business methods.
Technology, new or old, is one of the best levers that can be used to achieve breakthrough business change. The distinction between technology strictly as "leverage" and any resulting "business change", is the distinction between "means" and the "ends". The two are in a way inseparable and this site will cover both.
The intended audience of the site goes beyond marketers, sales people and technologists; the intention is to provide material also of interest to innovators, investors, engineers and business people.
A mature sales and marketing organization will have some of these ideas already in place. So, either as a source of fresh inspiration, or as points of comparison, you are welcome to take away any good ideas for your own use!
Marketing and selling great breakthrough-enabling technology is a thrill. But the biggest thrill is when the project is a success and the customer becomes a reference!
Why "Stand-Up Sales"? The slang word "stand-up" captures two key aspects of sales: "Courageous and steadfast!" (American Heritage Dictionary)
